We are a small group of dedicated people that love the Dachshund breed. We strive to take in those Dachshunds in need through no fault of their own. If they could talk, what stories each would have to tell. Yet, no matter the type of abuse, neglect, abandonment each has endured, they never give up on the human race. With some it may take just a little longer, but they all just want to love and be loved back. Some come to us because of a change in circumstances, an owner can no longer keep or care for their pet. A few tummy rubs, clean water, regular feeding and humans to share their time with is about all they ask.
All the Dachshunds that come into our rescue are temperament tested, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, veterinarian checked, and socialized with family and friends of the foster family or person.
Adoption applicants must be willing to undergo some degree of scrutiny as it is of the utmost importance to us that we make a great match of new home to adoption Dachshund. Some have been bounced from home to home already or have lived their life until now in a cage as a breeder for a puppy miller, never knowing the kind touch of a human that cares. We want to assure ourselves that this dog will never know what it is to be neglected, abused or abandoned again.

There can never be too much love or dediction to helping out these rescued Dachshunds. There are few feelings like the one when a match is made and we get updates from the new family/indivdual telling of all the joy that is being shared with their new companion.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have. We are even happier to bring a Rescued Dachshund into a new "forever" home!
We do have Representitives located in most areas of the state of New Mexico.
Our organization is made up strictly of volunteers and we are a non-profit 501(c)3 group. We must rely on the generous hearts of humans to help us help the Dachshunds in need.
